Hey!

I’m Danny, founder of Back Garden Pizzeria and The Big Arancini.

I’ve been cooking pizza’s across Bristol for 10 years and I’ve been a lover of Italian food forever.

Where it all started

I’ve always wanted to have my own pizza business and in lockdown 2020 Back Garden Pizzeria was born.

Selling pizzas in my own back garden to my mates via a “Party Pizza Line” WhatsApp group quicky evolved into a city-wide pizza delivery service.

What started out as collection only, evolved to delivering around 60 pizza’s a night across Bristol.

We went mobile

In 2019, we opened a stall at Glastonbury and were hoping to push on to many more festivals before Covid hit and we had to take a break.

As things were opening up in 2021, we were invited to do the crew catering at Tribe of Doris and we are now established at Shambala Festival.

We moved out

After outgrowing our garden in Barton Hill, we moved to the Art Club in summer 2023, where we loved welcoming our customers and continuing our takeaway service.

In December 2024, we said goodbye to our Art Club home. Looking ahead, we’re excited for the next chapter as we prepare to move into our own permanent space in the heart of Bristol city centre.
